OUR FIVE FINGER PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Blanchard Church of Christ exists to glorify God in all things by

EXALTING Jesus Christ in worship,

EVANGELIZING the lost,

ENCOURAGING the fellowship,

EDIFYING the Body of Christ toward maturity, and

EQUIPPING all the saints for service.

LET'S DISSECT IT...

EXALT - WORSHIPPING

Bring glory and honor to God through personal and corporate worship. [Psalm 148]

 

Bring glory and honor to God through lifestyle worship  [a living sacrifice, Romans 12:1-2].

 

We were created to worship Christ.  It is our goal that every aspect of our church exalt the name of Jesus Christ.

EVANGELIZE - REACHING

Proclaim Jesus Christ for the purpose of making disciples of those who do not know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.  [Luke 19:10, Matthew 28:19-20]

 

We do this as we reach out to our neighbors who do not know Christ.

 

We were created to evalgelize the lost for Christ.  We are his ambassadors. [2 Corinthians 5:17-20]

ENCOURAGE - CONNECTING

Provide pastoral care and ministry to the hurting and those facing trials and temptations.  [1 Thessalonians 5:11]

 

We give and receive encouragement as we connect to other believers in Christ's Body.  We were created to be connected to Christ and His people.

EDIFY- GROWING

Build up the fellowship of believers so that we might present every member perfect in Christ.  [Ephesians 4:6, Colossians 1:28-29]

 

We were created to grow in Christ likeness.

 

 

EQUIP- SERVING

Train and teach ll believers how to use their gifts for ministry. 

[Ephesians 4:12]

 

We were created to serve.  We do this with our time and energy, and in our giving.  Jesus gave to us.  This motivates us to give for Him and one another.
