Lord, we thank you for our leadership.  Guide, challenge, bless, encourage, rebuke, and sharpen them with your favor so they may fulfill your calling.

Bless them with the qualities and gifts needed to lavish love on our church.

Root out of them the ability to be easily offended or easily discouraged by the difficulties associated ministry. 

Give them a shepherd’s heart of compassion that reflects your love for the people.

Please raise up new leadership and workers among us to join us in ministry.

May the Holy Spirit use them as instruments to promote unity in our church family so that our church might be a sign, signal and foretaste of your Kingdom.

Help us to submit to our church leadership with joy and without sighing as they lovingly and prayerfully shepherd us in the Spirit and love of Christ.
